Here’s the deal peeps; crackers, really good crackers, are not cheap. And rightly so because the ingredients can be quite expensive. This recipe is the one you’re looking for. You can make this simple recipe in all of 10 minutes, and have super crispy and fresh crackers ready for whenever you want a snack, to nibble with dips and antipasto, or to have with salads.

The fact that they are super low allergy crackers is an absolute bonus and accommodate just about all dietary restrictions without skimping out on flavour. It is important to follow the steps to a tee though because failure to do so can make the mix clumpy, dry and impossible to roll. Take the time to be precise with your measuring and with your mixing. And we highly recommend you watch the video in full so as not to miss any important tips.

While nuts are full of goodness, many of us can’t eat them for various reasons. If you’re trying to reduce or eliminate your nut intake, seeds can play a fabulous role in replacing them. Packed full of omega-3 fatty acids, seeds are a great source of nutrition. They are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, protein and fibre. These humble little marvels can do so much for your health. Flax seeds can be difficult to digest, that’s why this recipe is great because we are using ground flax which is so good for your digestion.

Seed Crackers Keto | Seed crackers that are Keto, Paleo, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free and Egg Free, Easy to make and Delicious Seed Crackers Keto

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Pumplin Seeds (Pepitas)
  • 1/3 cup Sunflower Seeds
  • 1/3 cup Chia Seeds
  • 1/3 cup Flaxseed Meal (also called Linseed Meal)
  • 1/2 cup Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Psyllium Husk Ground
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cracked Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Dried Rosemary
  • 2 Tbs Olive Oil
  • 1 and 1/2 cups Boiling Water

Method

  • 1)

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

  • 2)

Get 2 large baking trays ready. Cut yourself 3 sheets of baking paper the same size as the baking trays.

  • 3)

Place all dry ingredients into a bowl and mix very well.

  • 4)

Collect all your wet ingredients in a separate bowl or jug.

  • 5)

The next part we recommend you move very quickly and do not let the mixture stand before rolling it.

  • 6)

Pour into dry ingredients and very quickly stir the mixture with a wooden spoon or spatula until it comes together evenly and begins to thicken. This should only take about 30 seconds. It should resemble play dough.

  • 7)

Divide the mixture into two and put each on a sheet of baking paper (not on the tray as this will make it difficult to roll. The spare sheet will be used on the top of the dough so that you can roll the crackers dough. Roll out each dough as thin as you can or to the edge of the sheets. You will find that it will roll to the thickness of the pumpkin seeds as these are the thickest seeds. Once you have rolled both, gently slide the baking sheets with the dough onto each baking tray.

  • 8)

Place the trays in the oven, on near the bottom of the oven and one nearer the top of the oven. Bake until crispy and browned all over for 30-45 minutes or until super crispy in the centre of the tray. It will continue to crisp as it cools down once out of the oven.

  • 9)

Let the crackers cool completely before breaking it up and storing in an airtight container. Do not refrigerate.

  • 10)

Serve with your choice of dips or antipasto.

  • 11)

NOTE: If you take it out too early and it doesn’t crisp up as it cools down, you can put it back in the oven. We have found that it can take a total of another 15-20 minutes as the crackers need to heat up before they begin to dry and brown.
